If Minny CBO Zucccccc

Description
This is considering Minny uses their CBO on him. I was bummed he didnt re-sign after last years playoffs. I felt like he fit into the Dallas line-up and truly made their top 6 interchangeable. Pavelski just hasnt done this and his contract is a very easy buyout decision.

The Stars are all in right now, and are not that far off. THis move helps them stabilize the top 6 and the addition of Trevor Moore gives them a young NHL ready forward to strengthen the bottom 6 which now has two 3rd lines.

How about Wild retain 2 million Dallas give Wild a 3rd round pick and everyone is happy.

Rangers fans wouldn't be happy... Dallas doesn't deserve Zuccarello! If DAL had won one of it's last two playoff games last season and then resigned Zuccarello, the Rangers would have received two 1st round picks from DAL for Zucc. Instead NYR got a 2nd and 3rd round pick. If DAL wanted Zucc on their team they should have resigned him. Using a CBO or a trade to reacquire Zucc is basically going around the Rangers backs in order to not have to give up a 1st round pick. Sooo, not everyone would be happy. frown

A fruit basket? JK!!! tears of joy

I mean a 2021 3rd maybe. That contract was a definite fail and I think the league knows that. So my thought is that there would need to be a mid round pick, maybe take salary back with less years tied to it, or maybe some salary retention.

That's being a bit sensitive....

Know one knew they would be awarded a CBO so I don't know that it is tampering. The issue with re signing him was the fact he wanted term passed 3-4 years and that was just not going to happen.

There would have to be a lot of salary retention on Pavelski if your only giving us a 2021 3rd. At least 2.5 million.
