A waste of $105k at the AHL level. I'd rather just pay a rookie 70k

Habs don't have many talented offensive prospect, we players that can produce offensively in the ahl. There is no salary cap in the ahl so no problems on the amount given.

Would rather make the playoffs with skilled players then miss out again. He's a guy we need in order to make the playoffs in Laval.

I was being facetious. I just remember when Dauphin was considered a high end prospect. I have no issues with this signing.

He's an AHL guy without much upside beyond it, but he's a good AHL guy at least. Played really well in Laval

In NHL 14, he became a 93 overall 50 goal scorer 3 or 4 seasons in for me.

Yeah... that's what anybody would say about a guy like Laurent Dauphin. But he wasted a quarter of his career playing for Nashville and Arizona. Arizona rarely makes the playoffs and the Predators have terrible offense chemistry wise.. Good for Montreal to resign him. Wouldn't want him playing for another useless team like Colorado and the Panthers. Both also rarely make the playoffs and i'm fine with the Lightning because they actually have a good team and can actually make the playoffs.
