Florida gets Pietrangelo

Created by: MMXD
Team: 2020-21 Florida Panthers
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 3, 2020
Published: Apr. 3, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Florida is an interesting story, as they need a bit of an upgrade on the defensive end, yet they don't even have enough money to afford to retain all of their current players, thus either Dadonov or Hoffman (or both) will have to walk if Florida looks to retain players such as even Weegar alone. The addition of Pietrangelo was a fun idea to see but probably won't happen.

From what TSN said they were trying to not spend so high. Looks like this is the opposite of what they are going to do. They are right up against the cap here

Regardless of what Florida does, unless they get really lucky, they are either against the cap or aren't good. This poor team can't afford very much, they have like 11mill in cap space to resign Weegar, Pysyk, Hoffman, Dadonov and the rest of their bottom 6. (Haula and Wallmark are also FA, so Florida has a lot of thinking.) The Bobrovsky contract shot them in the foot bigtime

Did this if they didn't get a CBO, however I'd imagine the teams will and it will be used on Bobrovsky

Alex Pietrangelo is a pipedream, Florida isn't in position to take on nearly $10 million in salary. Ownership probably will be slashing payroll not taking more on. If Tallon were to sign Pietrangelo then Hoffman is as good as gone. Noway Florida can afford both.

Florida is in such a bad state that they can’t even afford both Hoffman and Dadonov because they still have to fill out the rest of their roster with like 5mill if one of those guys takes 6mill.
