I feel like anything this team does will only hurt the future right now. If they really feel like they need to do something then maybe go out and get edmundson on a 1 ye deal or something but otherwise, I think the young guys shoudl be given a chance to grow.

I think that your primary assignment this summer is to persuade DeMelo to stay.

Would rather keep Harkins. Wonder if a Jessi for Sami swap would work. Change of scenery for each and each would probably thrive in their new organizations.
If Samberg won’t sign would Edmonton be interested in a Samberg + for Nurse?

A former 2nd rounder (from one of the deepest drafts ever) and an above pt/gm ahl player who got a callup and stuck on a very good forwards corps. The kid has 2c potential (more likely a very good 3C). He definitely isn’t a no one. And he is a proven talent vs a guy we would be taking a chance on. I understand if Edmonton doesn’t think it’s worth it but harkins definitely isn’t a no one. Though Edmonton does need a 3C and imo harkins can be that right now. Also he is only a year older than Jp

I’d rather keep niku. Also Samberg will sign here he said he intends to, and not really interested in nurse.

Oh I’m hoping that Samberg signs. I think he is exactly what we need. I also thought a T4 of JoMo/DeMelo and Nurse/Pionk would be a decent option. Samberg in for Nurse would be great too

Never heard of him, maybe he would make a better 4th center this last year for the Jets than Lowry? Oh I know it was a deep draft, we got McDavid Bear and Jones that dradt

Would rather keep Harkins then deal him for Jesse but I do think JP will be a good NHL player whenever he returns to the league.

Absolutely gotta get Demelo signed for a few years and should bring back Beaulieu, he's been very solid for this team and injuries always happen at some point, gonna need the depth.

I like the idea of staying the course but really think if they can't get Domi they should sign Haula, this team really really needs more depth at center.

I would say kerfoot but the issue is I dont know who winnipeg could give back. Toronto is mainly looking for defense (niku possibly) but probs would take picks for him to who knows

Maurice has this confusing obsession with Lowry and shore which results in lowry always playing 3C and shore playing 4c. They are great defiensve players but are black holes offensively. However, from what harkins showed As 3lw he’s is already a 3rd liner. I think he is a natural center so he is ready for a 3C job. Also really good in his own end

You generally hear about top prospects and honestly Harkins is not one. 2c potential is not a top prospect. But he was leading the ahl in points before his call up. If that now makes him a top propects sure but he wasn’t one the years prior. He always had potential but is just starting to figure out the pro game.

Not even close on the Edmonton trade. And Harkins is OLDER than Puljujarvi, not younger.

Yeah my bad meant to say older.

Also it’s definitely not “not even close”. At most it’s a 3rd or something off. Harkins can be the 3C Edmonton needs right now which potentially growing into a 2c role. Jp will likely be a 3rd liner until wheeler declines if he even gets there and is able to beat Vesalainen and/or roslovic and gustafsson. The fact of the matter is that Jp is unproven in comparison to harkins. Harkins proved this year that at worst he is a good 3rd line lw (and he is a natural center so 3C seems like a better choice). Jp is also forcing himself out so his value drops there. It’s not that far off imo
