Lmao 1 year of a bad contract and a bad contract.
While I am giving them a couple of prospects how is it not fair? Also they will be below the salary

And a Hart trophy winner. Anyone who plays in Arizona ends up playing bad (Kessel, Galchenyuk, Domi) more

I wasn't talking about Arizona. In the past 5 years Hall has scored 300 points, for an average of 60 per season. And those were his prime years...

You know he was injured for 3 of those seasons and played 30-40 games? He had a 93 point season and is known for his scoring not his point production

Do you think he'll have fewer injuries as his body ages?

You've signed him for 7 years, so look back 7 years to see what he delivered over that span: an average of 22 goals per season and just under 60 points per season. (You're wrong about his being known for his scoring rather than his point production, BTW.) So even if, over the next 7 years, he maintains the same health (unlikely) and the same goal / assist rate (impossible), he isn't worth Ten Million Dollars. And especially not with a flat cap.

He played 30 games those seasons and this is a market. This is what he is worth

Not to me he isn't. Go make a Leafs AGM and pay Hall $10M if you want, he isn't worth that to Edmonton.

I just looked at SEVEN FREAKING YEARS. This is Taylor Hall: 22 goals / 60 points IN HIS PRIME. What he produces over the next 7 years is anybody's guess, but it's guaranteed to be less than 22 goals and 60 points on average.

That contract will be an albatross before very long.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised, seeing as Dubas is generally lauded in Toronto while the rest of the league laughs at the bloated contracts he has signed.

Lol what bad contracts? Who have Lucic a 6mil contract? Who traded Larsson for Hall? I guess Oilers fans really hate Hall don't they?
I'm gonna stop talking to you and stop listening cause you keep making bad jokes about our team cause every team does it

"Bloated contracts" - you seems to think they're normal because you're a Leafs fan. All I'm saying is that you're overpaying Hall. He isn't worth $10M for 7 years.

Peter Chiarelli was fired a long time ago. And I'm not him.

Couple things wrong here.
NO way hall is a 10 mil player, just because he won the hart a couple of years ago deosn't mean he gets ultra payed
The ottawa trade is unnecessary in that you can get rid of kris russell easily after he is paid his bonus meaning he;sacutally only getting paid 1.5 mill for next season
I most likely see a complaince buyout making it's way into the league so the oilers can use it on neal
Broberg FYI is staying iin europe
