Agree I compared players of different style like Caufield vs Marner, but that’s why it’s a tough comparison. Most people will pick who’s overall skillset is better.

No not really. I think hes about where hes going to be personally. I just dont think any of those three will be as good as he is

Well, I still think there’s another level or two to his game that he hasn’t found yet. I expect him to be score at a 110 point pace with more goals.

That would be pretty impressive and good on him if he does it, but I just dont see it. He already has just about the best line mates you could ask for and scoring at 95 point pace is crazy

You’re right. It’s just, we have to keep in mind that this wasn’t a great season for Marner individually. He actually went without a point for a lot of games, but was able to make up for it with multiple points in the games in which he did manage to get on the scoresheet. He had lots of scoring chances but several times he overpassed / overplayed it. The biggest thing he needs to work on is his consistency & decision making. I expect that to get better as he becomes more experienced & I think if he does improve, that’ll make him an even better player.

I think Panarin has the goal-scoring ability that Marner will never have but Marner will probably end up the better playmaker. It'll be close but I don't think Marner can reach Panarin's level overall

I think Marner’s hands & playmaking ability is similar to Panarin, but I don’t see him becoming a 30-40 goal guy anytime soon. He’s just not a good decision maker in goal scoring areas, but that could change as he becomes more experienced.
