10 Ristolainen Trades

Description
Ristolainen's value is perhaps the most controversial of any player I see involved in trades on this site. Some think he's worth a late 1st round pick while others see him as a cap dump. Imo he is a decent 2nd pair D-man who needs a very good stay at home LD partner. He is good on the PP and is capable of putting up 50+ points from the backend. He is far from a perfect player but he does have some value and could be a great addition for a playoff team as he does play a very physical game (even if it reckless at times.) The guy simply needs a new start somewhere else.

Here are 10 trades I think could maybe work
in my eyes but who the heck knows at this point.

Which do you think is the most fair/makes the most sense?

I set the lineup for next season with the 1st deal involving Chris Tierney. I see this trade as the one that could make the most sense for each team.

OTT needs RHD and Risto is used to playing big minutes so Chabot doesnt have to play a half hour each night. Tierney helps Buffalo down the middle and is the perfect youngish stop gap for 2C. This allows Cozens to step in next season as 3C for one season or until he gets comfortable enough to step into the top 6 then Chris Tierney can drop down a line and is the perfect 3C that can help the Sabres PK which was awful this year.

Regardless of what Risto's value may or may not be, Buffalo should not move him unless we get a 2nd line center or 2nd line RW out of the deal. I think the only one's that are semi-realistic are Tuch and Kapanen. Trading for Laughton is a cruel joke, hope you weren't serious about that one. I also believe that once Buffalo finally makes playoffs, RIsto will be our most valuable defenseman, he plays playoff style hockey throughout the year and is the only good physical player in our lineup

Buffalo isn't moving their #7 pick this season, So Detroit says hell no not moving Mantha for 2 years of Ristolainen and Thompson and Pekar not remotely interested in that package. Doubt Buffalo has what it takes to get Mantha out of Detroit. Yzerman will want a top 4 LHD for Mantha and the Sabres don't have what we would want.

Ik you have the 2020 first there, but I find it hard to see DET moving Mantha for that, or TBL moving Cirelli for that, and with the TOR and TBL trades, they 100% get rejected simply bc cap space

There’s no way I would be parting with a 2020 first round pick when the Sabres are probably locked in the top 8

Ik you have the 2020 first there, but I find it hard to see DET moving Mantha for that, or TBL moving Cirelli for that, and with the TOR and TBL trades, they 100% get rejected simply bc cap space

You undervalued him in literally every single trade

yeah sorry kapenan for ristolinan is a no no johnsson for him or kerfoot for him is fine but kapenan has more value and is growing in to a strong winger who if nylander plays LW next season could play on the right of matthews.

A lot of varying values here. Arvidsson is the best player on this list and is getting one of the lowest returns.

As a Tampa fan I can tell you right now Arvidsson is better than Cirelli.
