They have $71.4 million on the books in 20 players and Barzal, Pulock and Toews to sign to complete the roster. It will depend upon what the cap will be and whether there will be a buyout opportunity, because they have Boychuk at $6 million and Ladd at $5.5 million. There is also the slight chance that Ladd would be determined medically unfit to play.

Don't trade Dumba if that's all you can get for him. Maybe drop the 2nd and get Liljegren.
Donato and Zuccarello are not good options as 4th liners and Donato can take a faceoff but should not be played at center.
I heard the Wild would not buyout Dubnyk. He has 1 year left so they instead would option him to AHL and allow him to not report thereby terminating his contract.
Love the idea of offersheet for Barzal, but Islanders will find a way to re-sign him. I suspect they will move draft picks or a good prospect to get another team to absorb one of their bad contracts if it becomes necessary.
