Not even close. Bjorkstrand, Foudy and a pick would do it. Otherwise, forget it.

A few problems

1) San Jose isn’t trading Hertl
2)Columbus isn’t trading Bjorkstrand
3) yikes

Think I say no. Hertl is better than Bjork but yes a bit older. Jenner makes too much for a bottom sixer IMO and Carlsson would just be on our AHL team

Who is it bad for? Every post on here is giving me a completely different view of who this benefits.

@Ajp_18 @KakkoForMauriceRichardAward @JumboJoe @papishark

From what I see one guy wants CBJ to add significantly, the sharks fans don't see it far off and Jackets fan thinks its a rip off. I'm confused.

I think it just doesnt make sense at all. The sharks need Hertl much more than we need Bjork and Jenner. So even though value isnt bad it doesnt make sense

IMO the CBJ would have to add or retool their offer. SJS if they were to trade Hertl is basically throwing away next season.
papishark liked this.

Here's how I see it

Bjorkstrand has the same amount of points as Hertl this season in only 1 more game. Bjorkstrand actually has a better production rate than Hertl this season, getting a point on average every 24 minutes and 25 seconds, while Hertl gets a point every 24 minutes and 36 seconds. Bjorkstrand is also 2 years younger, (but turns 25 in a few days) and is on a great contract for next season, while Hertl is on a good contract for 2 more seasons. Jenner would get around 30 points this season if he played all 82 games, but is overpaid. He's only 26 so is still probably improving and could be a solid 3c for us. Carlsson doesn't have too much value but could play on the bottom pair for us one day, maybe even 2nd pair. Chekovich was viewed as one of our best prospects coming into the season, a possible future top 6 winger, but had a disappointing season in the AHL. Still has ok value, but definitely not viewed as a future top 6 winger anymore, at best top 9. Lastly, not sure how strong next years draft is expected to be, but a 2nd round pick is a 2nd round pick.

How I kind of break it down is

Hertl=Bjorkstrand

Chekovich<2nd

hard to say if Jenner has positive value, he did get close to 40 last season in 77 games so if he could get that again then I would definitely say so
Carlsson would be signed to a 2 way contract so can't really have negative value, but definitely Carlsson>5th

67 games popped in 18 goals and people keep acting like NSH is trading Bonino.

That's not gonna happen.

I'm not touching the other trades. You been ripped up enough.

Here’s my take. San Jose isn’t trading Hertl and Columbus wouldn’t move Bjorkstrand as he’s turning into a top line player. Colukbus has to wait on Foudy as no one else is going to give a 1st or 2nd line player who’d fit in Columbus age wise.
