Why would you move a pick to get a backup when you already have a good one, Dell?

And? He costs you nothing except money... the last think SJ should do right now is trade their picks, except if it's to get rid of Jones

deSmith is even an ahl goalie right now. He was on waivers he should cost like a 6th.
He isn't even doing good in the ahl. He is doing pretty bad. I agree they should keep Dell

Toronto paid a 1st for Carolina to buyout Marleau at 4.25 mil real money 6.25 one year cap. What do you think they'll ask SJS for to pay 14.5 mil cash and save SJ 5.75 mil cap for 4 years??

SJ will most likely trade a prospect and maybe a 3rd rounder to get rid of Jones.

DeSmith has a career .917 save percentage vs Dell at .907

DeSmith will be a good backup once Pittsburgh quits burying him in the minors and actually trades him. They’ll keep Dell if he’s willing to sign around 1.5 million isn

Jones has been awful since his spectacular run during the 2016 Stanley Cup playoffs. I think he’s gotta go if they wanna be a playoff team again

You can only buyout one. If the best SJ is offering Tor, who just gave Car a 1st to buyout one year of Marleau, a prospect and/or a 3rd to buyout 4 years of Jones then Jones will still be a Shark. I'd guess at least TB's 2020 1st and SJ 2nd would be the starting point...

It costs nothing to toronto though, Marleau was to a competitor and effected their cap

Like I said, then Jones will be SJs goalie. Teams aren't paying 15 mil cash.

You think a cbo is free?? SJ has to pay, in cash, 31.5 mil to buyout Vlasic...
