i like the value for each deal but only the first one makes sense for MTL

the 2nd trade is to much quantity with all MTL's value relying on ARZ first round pick being a high one .
Given they now have Goaltending figured out and Offense is starting to get deep they're 1 solid top 4 RD from being a actual playoff team and not just squeaking in.
This means the odds of getting a high quality 1st are low.

If its me i want Fischer a 22 year old RW to help bolster depth on RW after losing Gallagher
Fischer,Armia and Lavoie on RW will give MTL options going forward

Fischer,Westerlund, 1st round pick and a 3rd .
The real upside here is Fischer helps us short term with our depth but has a chance to step up and earn a bigger role like Armia has.
Westerlund needs another year or 2 but is a puck moving RD who's likely to become a #4-5 Defensman at best and a #6 at worst with his ability to gain entry into the OZ being what stands out about him .

I think Gallagher will be a Hab for life. Berge won’t let the heart and soul of this team slip away at all cost. Gally is going to mentor Caufield.

Can't fathom Habs trading Gally for a collection of picks and prospects. He simply is too valuable to the Habs, they'll resign him at all costs unless he wants to leave that is. Otherwise he's a Hab for life. I would not trade Gally to EDM unless one of Broberg or Bouchard are coming back.

Fair value in the Drouin trade but I feel Arizona needs to send some cap back for it to work. I do think it makes more sense to try and get an established player for Drouin though. They'll need instant dividends if they trade him now. A collection of picks and prospects would ultimately signify MB's failure in this trade. I think he only has a couple failures left before being kicked to the curb so he has to ensure that he's getting something he can instantly hang his hat on.

No way Edmonton pays that price for 1 year of Gallagher. Holland refused to trade the 1st for 2/3 a season of Hall, he isn't going to do it here either - especially when you've added 3 other valuable pieces.
