Yost I believe is under utilized in Colorado.
Most teams would give him a better opportunity.
Maybe it’s time he gets traded.

Jost isnt under utilized in Colorado, he just hasn't been able to separate himself above the rest of the top 9 guys for the majority of the time in Colorado, still a good young player but he has had plenty of chances to be a regular top 6 player and hasn't worked out.

He very much could be traded but they arent giving him away, they still believe in him and its up to Jost to carve out his spot
His agent can ask all he want, but thats what the market will dictate for him based on his current production on his ELC. 1.5m would be over paying so 1.25m range is an acceptable value for him

They may still like him but like so many other young players they sometimes they need a change of scenery.

I think 1.25 is still optimistic. Looking at comparables like Eriksson-Ek, Barbashev, Bennett, etc they are all around 1.5-2M and id say Jost will get the same on a 2 year deal. He is still a capable 3rd line fwd

hes a 3rd line player who is start defensively, forechecks hard and can be on the PK. There a legit NHL player there but that isnt world changing. The way he was playing after the deadline for those 10 games, he was playing some of his best hockey, the offense with clicking for him

He has to prove he can do that more consistently to get to that 2nd line talent that he shown when he was drafted. Like I said Jost has to earn it (thats the avs and bednars motto, you earn what you get as long as the process is there you will be rewarded). He would be gifted top 6 minutes on another team, and chances are willl probably look solid doing it. Avs are not going to just give him away, a hockey trade for him and im sure they will listen

I think they go a 1 year deal with him, thats if he isnt part of a bigger trade package.
They cant get into over committing to guys right now. If they go Nuke 2 years, I dont think they do Jost 2 years bc they will be having roster crowded issues even further down the line

I didnt see the EDM trade but ive seen some of his other posts and they are of similar quality, or lack thereof. Im not going to waste my time commenting on it - seems like enough people told him the trade was bad already (or sarcastically told him it was good)
