The chance of Ottawa getting 6th is very low. That would mean all 3 teams in the top 3 are exchanged for other teams. Most likely they get something like 3 and 5 and Drysdale is probably there

These trades are something out of NHL 20 Franchise Mode

Possibly the Johansen trade. It's a bit out there. But what other team would be interested in Johansen?

      But the others?
      - Vancouver will need a new 7th D and we have excess forwards. Mac fits ottawa's fourth line perfectly.
      - Florida is supposed to cut salary, and Stralman has not been a successful signing. If there's no buyout, then Florida would likely consider moving him. The return wouldn't be that high.
      - The MTL swap follows the idea of the Vancouver swap.
      - Finally, the CBJ trade: White took a step back and given his extension that's not a good sign. Wennberg has struggled under Tortz system, but still carries 50 point / 2nd line potential. It is a risk for Ottawa in that Wennberg might not rebound and White does, and likewise for CBJ if White's downward trend continues. Either way, both guys carry an almost identical cap hit, so I think there is some logic to the idea's base framework.

I think Stutzle is a lock at 3rd. 4th is up for debate between Raymond and Drysdale and I think Raymond has it

If the Ducks pick 3rd I'm pretty sure they take Drysdale over Stutzle. The LA Kings may also pick Drysdale over Stutzle because they just picked Turcotte last year and don't have much defensive depth.

I'm not sure what team picks Raymond over Drysdale. Many reputable sources have Raymond all the way down at number 9.

Elite RHD are much more valuable and harder to come by than elite wingers.

Just the fact that Sens fans (me included) keep wanting Drysdale shows how valuable he is.

      Not pointless, it's realistic.

I really like the Wennberg for White trade. I think both players would thrive with new teams.
