you will be better off signing a 3rd pair dman instead of barrie because boqvist will be ur top pair dman and barrie is bad in his own end. i would sign HOltby but lehner is fine

Boqvist isn’t ready to be a first paring guy yet. I think Barrie is a good stop gap and he can slide down in the later years of his contract one Boqvist game matures.

A right side of Boqvist-Barrie-Mitchell is lined up well for the future

Pass on Barrie and Lehner. Bowman had the chance to resign Lehner and did not. Use that money elsewhere. Caggiula will also get more than 900k. There's been no word on Shaw so at this point it's fair to assume he'll be on LTIR at least to start next season.

Unless they shipped him to Vegas in hopes he resigns in the offseason. I get you may pass on Barrie but Lenher long term makes a lot of sense. Crawford is no longer the player he was. Hawks need a starter and I think Lenher would be a great fit for them

I agree I really liked Lehner, but especially with what he said on social media after the trade, I doubt that happens. They need to draft Askarov or Wallstedt for the future

Responded to some reporters about how he never talked about an extension with the Hawks and he wants to move on. Clashed back at a two reporters on twitter, too. Pretty much indicating he is a one year stopgap.

Damn that’s a shame. He would’ve been a good long term fixture there. I missed that

Id like to give Delia or Lankinen a shot for the moment. I think drafting Askarov would be a knee jerk reaction for losing two starting goalies, because he probably wont be ready for a couple years anyway. I think we need another solid forward or Drysdale if he falls far enough to solidify our future core and look at goalies next year

Lehner will get $6.5m plus. No thanks on Tyson, he’s a wreck in his own end...a lot like Gus but more dynamic offensively; we can sign Gus back for $3m if that’s the goal.

I’d switch Dach and Nylander with Strome and Cat. Also if Shaw comes back, Caggs is going to be let go not to mention he will make $1.5M.

I think Kurashev may get a good shot at the team. Also think Highmore slides in on the 4th line.

On D, Mitchell will likely sign and while starts in the AHL will come up by Christmas is my guess. Also think that Seeler has no place on this team. Carlsson and Beaudin are both ready and Koekko is a great fallback. Good job on getting rid of Maatta and Smith; those moves have to happen.

Seeler is a career ahler or a number 8 dman . Barrie would be a total disaster of a signing . Stanbo will not even try signing lehner not after the comments made . I can see a combination of KHUDOBIN , HALAK , AND OR CRAWFORD being signed for 1 or 2 years

I think Barrie would be a solid add on the right side. Hawks are thin there. they're gonna need to sign someone to play that role.

how do you figure barrie ??? does he suddenly wake up at the age of 29 and learn how to play defence ??? after his last 2 seasons and a flat cap there is no team that will offer him this contract no chance whatsoever . colorado was trying to dump for two years , toronto will not even try to resign him . he is not physical and is a career minus 66 and can not play defence . he is one dimensional just like GUS
