That's probably too much for walker. I've been a huge fan of his for a few seasons now but the leafs need a 3c, engvall isnt that. Walker probably isnt the guy to play with rielly either. I like his skating and puck moving ability but I would like someone who is better defensively along with the tools Walker has.

apparently walker almost came in the campbell trade but the kings wanted something the leafs were not willing to give. Honestly I would have gave the kings 2 2nds moore and bracco and in return the leafs would have got (martinez, campbell, clifford)

(Better than Walker all-around and especially, defensively)

Nvm, TOR don't need him

Hes exactly the kinda D Toronto needs. Adding walker is adding more of what you have! Roy is good defensively, plays with an edge, has a heavy shot from the point, gets the puck out of the zone very efficiently. Now he’s not gonna skate the puck up like walker! But Roy was a +16 on a bad team, while walker is a -16 I believe. He’s very well liked by the coaches. But nothing flashy. If you don’t watch him regularly you will have no idea how good he is. He will never jump out at you! When you watch him every game you realize how good and consistent and steady he really is! I hope he’s a king for a long time as teams need these kinda guys to win.

Yeah I haven’t watched any Kings games this season cuz they play so late, but his stats are truly exceptional. What should the leafs give up to acquire him? Would you take Marner with maybe 1.5 million retained salary?
