If Strome is on the market, I think the Leafs might be interested and would consider shifting him to leftwing.

I think that is way too much to give up from the Penguins POV.. I would not do that.

Jarry>Murray. If you think the other way, Pittsburgh would be hard pressed to Mohave either of them right now.

Jarry probably does carry more value as it stands, but the coaching staff seem to really trust in Murray. Bringing in a young guy like Strome could be huge for the team.

Oh yeah totally leafs signing another young forward with potential and is due for a reasonable raise perfect for their cap hit.

From a hawks fans’ perspective, I definitely wouldn’t put him on a wing. He’s been tried at wing a lot this year and it never worked.

Good to know. Always thought his skating was his weakness and maybe forward would be better for him than centre position.

Skating is a definite weakness. I’d say, if playing him on wing is a plan, stick him with a combination of Tavares along with kapanen or Johnsson. They’re much better skaters and provide him with good passing options.

Assuming Jarry is just a good backup but not a good starter, I make that trade and run with Murray/DeSmith.
