Stepan isn’t worth more than 3M and Yamamoto isn’t getting that money. Broberg is staying in the SHL next year too

Broberg isn’t coming over. I don’t like Stepan at that contract. Someone like Mikael Granlund or Carl Soderberg would be cheaper.

Hoffman will be 32 shortly after the 21-22 season begins so who knows what he'll be like by then, Stepan and Grabner's numbers have dropped so by then they're likely going to be worse, really this team would be like the Oilers are today, they'll go as far as McDavid and Draisaitl can carry them.

That's a high price to pay for a backup when you could just sign one in free agency for the same money and the same results.

It's all top 20 picks. Bouchard 10th overall is the top-scoring defence prospect, Nurse is 7th overall, Klefbom is a veteran elite 17th overall, Broberg is 8th overall, Berglund or Benning are 6/7th D men but top 4 potential and Bear is already a 30+ point d man with an elite shot
