I'm pretty sure vgk would accept in a heart beat I'm just not sure they wanna give up fluery with no one ready to fill his place

I like this better. Still not a fan of moving Krebs or really Fleury, but he’s 35 and making 7mill. Lehner backed by Stalock is nicer.

Just spitballing here but......

Do you think there is a trade fit for Dubnyk vs. buying him out? Off the top of my head Jersey may bite. Be a great mentor for Blackwood for starters, not to mention a fantastic split time option and/or insurance. Could absorb cap hit to get it done since you earmarked for buyout.

If there is a trade to be made for Dubnyk, that would certainly be option #1, but he was pretty horrible this season... His wife had serious health issues and this definitely affected his play so maybe there is a trade partner out there.

His overall track record would suggest there has to be. Not much term left and with a little help in eating cap.... quite affordable.

I don't think they'll buyout Dub. Trade or even let him go through waivers is a better option. His contract isn't awful and MN isn't really that tight on cap space where they need to use a buyout.
