Avs go all in cap stays same for next season

Created by: milehigh11
Team: 2020-21 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 6, 2020
Published: Apr. 6, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Hall signs with a team that can win the cup over taking themost money. Which could include a modified NTC so he can have a little say on IF he were to be traded later on.

A Hall / Mack / Rant Line would be killer

I dont see Burakovsky, Graves, Nichushkin breaking the bank. This is the 1st year all of them did something at the NHL level. I see 2 year bridge deals for all of them to see if they can repeat it.

As for the RFAs: Jost and Z i see them as trade candidates. Jost just needs a change of scenery and with Byram and Timmins knocking on the door to join the lineup there is no place in there for Z and a 3+ million cap hit on the 3rd line since we are already pay Cole and JOhnson 10+ million already.

Hall could get more somewhere else, but I could see him going to a team like Colorado that's competitive and has a lot of cap space.

Hall isn't signing that cheap.
Anahiem rejects that cause Rakell is a second line winger

Some good ideas, Rackell, some bad ideas, trading Compher and some of the contracts, and some unrealistic ones, Hall.

Ducks would take Compher of Jost in Rakell talks

And Rakell is not a 3rd line C, hes a top line winger

I don't think Anaheim wants quantity if they trade Rakell. Other teams could easily beat that offer if they included a better prospect. Anaheim also have no need for LHD. Their biggest need is young Top4 RHD, so the most feasible trade proposal is Timmins + 1st for Rakell.

Oh and Rakell isn't a 3C. Avs won't trade Compher until at least one of Newhook or Bowers make the team.
