I like the majority of how the team looks. I highly doubt the cap is that high at the start of the season, however.
I feel like anyone would have to pay a lot for Dumba (and he's a top 4 D, so of course MIN should want a bunch), but I don't think he should be the Jets target. They'd probably have to overpay even more to get him from a division rival. I'd just try to re-sign DeMelo, he's fit in real well with Morrissey.
I really don't think Niku will ever get a fair shot from PoMo, he just always seems to find a reason not to play him (injuries haven't helped this year, but in general). I feel that finding a way to trade him would be a wise move for Chevy. His stock has definitely dropped though from a year or two ago.
I actually really like the idea of Strome on that second pair. Jets would have to add in this trade no doubt, but the idea of him being in that 2C position is intriguing.
I'd also just rather keep Poolman than get Braun. Plus I don't think Braun takes that big of a pay cut to play 3rd pairing minutes. I think when Poolman needs an extension, you could get him around that $2M range and not give up a pick. Braun is probably better, but for the price and with Poolman signed, I think they should just keep him.
I also like the idea of Edmundson, Dillon could work too. It gives Samberg/Heinola a chance to grow and not have all the pressure of an NHL top 4 role right away. He may be exposed to SEA, but that's the reality with an expansion team.
I'm not sure if NSH does that trade, mostly because it's in division. Jets would welcome it though, I feel like. But who knows.
Dell is a good signing too. I'd still be pleased if LB came back, but Dell would be a solid back-up.
I would hope there's enough money to give Laine/Pionk/Copp some raises. I don't know if Perreault/Lowry off the books is enough space. I guess Seattle taking someone would help with that.
Well done though!
