Description
Tkachuk-Norris-Ryan:
Small sample size, but this line looked really good this season. Norris gets to start his NHL career playing with his best friend and one of his favorite players growing up.

Duclair-Strome-Batherson:
This is the best 2nd line Ottawa could ice. The best Centre, the best RW and the best goalscorer. Maybe not the strongest defensively.

L.Brown-White-C.Brown:
This will be the line that matches up against the top lines. White and C.Brown are strong defensive forwards, and while Logan Brown struggles with commitment away from the puck, he's going to be forced to figure it out. It's the biggest thing holding him back from NHL success. This season is likely his last chance in Ottawa and he has to figure it out.

Paul-Anisimov/Chlapik-Balcers:
This year is sort of a transitional season for the Sens 4th line. Traditionally Ottawa has always gone with a veteran 4th line, and this season would see a gradual change to a younger, more skilled 4th line. Anisimov and Chlapik would split centre duties, with Chlapik taking over full time after the Deadline. Paul and Chlapik can both play a heavy forechecking 4th line role, but can play a more skilled game with Balcers as well.

Brown being bad away from the puck is such a hilariously false narrative. He's very solid on both ends of the ice. Made a lot of positive impacts when he was in the NHL. Guy just needs to stay healthy.

He doesn't do it consistently. He had a couple of really strong efforts down low and on the backcheck, but there were also a bunch of times where I was really mad about his lack of effort. Health is obviously an issue with him, but the fact that he's not engaged every shift is a problem. Playing on a match up line, he doesn't have a choice but to be engaged every time he's on the ice, because if he isn't he's going to get blown up by top line NHL players. It's sink or swim for Brown this year.
