Jarry is a nonstarter imo, he was the pens best goalie last season, and will not be traded for futures.

Agree it will be Murray instead. I do like the prospects Thompson & Johnson. They would definitely be an upgrade overnight sheary & JJ.

Thompson sucks (like way worse than Sheary sucks) and Johnson won't be an upgrade over JJ next year (well maybe he would... But he won't play in the NHL and wouldn't be good if he did next year)

Yeah probably Johnson needs another year but I haven’t seen a Thompson’s stats, he seems more skilled than Sheary for sure.

I don’t know I’d think about it, those picks have a good shot at being pretty high 2nd rd picks, and Miller at the very least has been pretty decent on an awful Sabre’s team.

Miller is a downgrade from Cole and you have to deal with his contract jamming up the roster spots for Byram Timmins even more,
Jost for draft picks, I dont see how its a good move for the Avs. Downgrade your Dcore and lose a roster player?

I don’t know that Miller is a down grade to Cole, probably more lateral, and it doesn’t block Byram at all. At worst he’s a chip to use in another trade because they have to either trade one of them or let them walk. In addition there is a solid chance Seattle looks to take one of them in the xdraft. I’m just saying net value of assets is higher for Colorado than what they give up.

You move Jost and all you do is gain draft picks back, thats a bad move
Cole was better than Miller last year hands down, hes a downgrade and Avs dont need to have a 3rd pairing RHS dman in Miller signed for 2 more years at 3m taking up roster spots from their up and coming kids.

You take on Miller than you have to move both Graves and Zadorov to make room for Byram and Timmins not he blue line. Makar, Byram, Girard, Timmins, Johnson Miller...or did we just trade for a guy in Miller you are healthy scratching so you can keep Graves?

Do not like it

I can respect that, I just think the trade value of 2 2nd’s and Miller is more than Cole and Jost. To use to acquire other assets. Personally I’d love to see a situation where Cole was the 7th d. Jost just kills me because he shows so much but the results aren’t there but I think he needs a change of scenery where he gets more top 6 opportunities to blossom. All that being said I still think it’s fair value asset to asset.
