Play SOME of the kids

Team: 2020-21 Los Angeles Kings
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 7, 2020
Published: Apr. 7, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Honestly I don't see Bjornfot and Byfield making the team out of camp next season. I could see Bjornfot going to the 2021 WJC and then playing NHL minutes after LA trades a guy like Hutton for instance.

With all that cap space, they should keep Carter and take on another crap contract to use the CBO on, thus getting some more specs or picks as payment. Think Vancouver with Beagle Eriksson Etc

Agree wholeheartedly with everything you've got here (including the signing numbers!) with the small exception of the Forbort signing -- I think that they've turned the page on him. Very nice job.

Look at the deals you guys have made: Panarin, Fox, keeping Kreider, moving Skjei for a first . . . what have we done?

    So you «envy» us?

I envy you guys too... I mean Dobson will soon be a horse on the blueline, Whalstrom is insane a and Sorokin vs Shesterkin will be a great battle

Yeah I don’t see Forbort,Ryan, Ladue or Lewis coming back. Maybe Hutton. Grundstrom and Luff would have to pass thru waivers so I think they make the team unless they are absolutely horrendous. I wouldn’t buy out Carter either. I’d use that to leverage a team like Tampa and Gourde or there’s so many other teams that need help. Carter and Quick don’t have contracts that are that terrible or long they could be bought out later if need be for hardly nothing. Kings have no cap issues in the near future. And after next year kovi comes off the books and Phaneufs hit drops substantially so that’s about another 11 mil we will have.
