Take out the first round pick and I’d say it’s even. Bean would have a good shot of being the 2nd pairing in Chicago since there’s no room right now in Carolina.

I'm a Canes fan, so I'd take that LMAO! I always err on the side of overpayment for good 25-and-under guys, though.

Haha Bean is still a good prospect. And Foegele must have some good value, Mrazek can be a decent goalie for 1 year as a stop gap.

Personally, I think Foegele and Bean are worth around the equivalent of mid-late firsts by themselves. They're both good players. I don't consider Mrazek a cap dump, either; he's a good goalie that's faced a ridiculous amount of high-danger chances this year (our team defense is wonderful, but tends to suppress volume shots while giving up really risky shots). I just personally value Strome at around the value of 3 mid-late 1sts and Koekkoek at around a late 2nd or early 3rd, around the trade value of Mrazek.

I don’t think Koekkoek holds any value. And Strome is probably worth 2 late 1sts, not 3

As a Hawks fan, I don't want this at all. Let's all be careful about over valuing Jake Bean. Marc Bergevin's been rumored to turn down CAR's offer for Petry because he didn't think Bean would EVER be a top 4 Dman. It's also rumored (I don't believe this rumor though if we're being honest, but it was reported by Pat Boyle who's darn close to the organization) that CAR wanted BOTH Gus and Lehner @ the TDL and was willing to include Jake Bean...Stan Passed because A.) he already has a backlog of young Dmen and B.) he didn't think Bean was better than any of his young Dmen.

As for the other pieces. Mrazek is terrible and makes too much money. it's why Reimer took the starting role...even though he had one of the league's best defenses infront of him. Now take Mrazek an already bad goalie and put him on a team with a much worse defense...cap dump...

The TOR 2020 1st would be interesting, but not enough for a true #2C.

***EDIT*** With how much negative talk around Edmunson that took place last year...AND...all the injury situations that CAR unfortunately had to deal with...I'm really beginning to wonder if the organization believes in Jake Bean. Not fan base. I understand every fan base thinks their prospects are solid gold. But actions speak louder than words and Bean didn't get even get 1 single game in the NHL last year...that says something and it's not a good thing.

Hawks should be selling low on Dylan Strome as reported earlier. This is definitely too high of an asking price.
