Why wouldn’t the islanders just use their CBO on ladd ?

It’s money wise, bruins have more real money, so CBO ING Ladd would hurt more the islanders, they they will CBO komarov

Bruins don't want Ladd...

EDM isn't moving Nurse. Even their 1st I would think. And Bruins need to keep DeBrusk and Grzelcyk

I personally think, that would be a great deal for EDM as well, they get a good puck moving and a scoring winger that want to play in EDM born there, and they get rid of a good prospect that don’t want to play with them, but they loose nurse

Assumption would be they buy out Boychuk.

No, not Komarov.

Nurse can be a good Chara replacement.

The Isles are in a tough spot. They need all 11 mill between Ladd and Boychuk to re-sign their guys if the cap doesn’t go up

How would using a compliance buyout hurt the islanders if it doesn’t affect the cap at all?

If there is 1 compliance CBO, isles will use it on ladd, trade Leddy, and bury komarov in Bridgeport (Saves 12.5 mill)

debrusk is a scoring winger?, dont make me throw up, oilers lose pretty much every aspect of this deal, i know pujularvi is bait, but the other 2 parts is not close

Per Hockey-Reference:

Since 2017-2018 among all LWer's (min 80gp)
Goals: 17th
G/GP: 22nd

Since 2017-2018 among all winger's (min 80gp)
Goals: 42nd
G/GP: 38th

If you don't think DeBrusk is a scoring winger, please define what the criteria is for a "scoring winger" in your opinion.

I wouldn’t make this deal if I were the oilers. Giving the first and nurse seems like a wammy

Not a chance Edmonton does this. They're giving up the best player in the deal and also the higher pick. Nope, not even close.

17th for lw whch is the shallowest position in the league i might add, doesnt make you a scoring winger, idk maybe guys who consistently put up 30+, i understand its vague, but you cant honestly define jake debrusk as a "scoring" winger

OK let's go with 30+ goals then. Now I'll go a bit deeper (say 5 years) and we'll say 3 or more years of 30+ goals (although 60% isn't really consistent). Looking at all wingers there are......

10 scoring winger by your standards

Wow do you have some high standards!

Isles are not a very profitable team.
According to Statista.com, they are one of like 7 teams losing the nhl money. So it doesnt effect their cap, but they cant afford to pay him the money they still owe him.

if you classify debrusk as a scoring winger, then he is a bad scoring winger, pasta is a scroing winger, how are they in the same category

DUDE: AWESOME JOB!!!

This is terrififc. Way to take everything into account.
Good contracts, good deals, good buyouts.

Personally: I dont want to make that trade, BUT that is my opinion so it will not effect how this ACGM is.

AMAZING JOB!
