Johansen is a declining player on a hefty contract, even with money contained. I would rather go for either an older 2C with an expiring contract (Staal/Krejci/Stastny) or go for a core piece like Strome/Cirelli

Columbus isn’t retaining on that trade. You’ll either get all of Wennberg or just Anderson. The return isn’t much to be excited about for Columbus either.... a LHD who’s be the 9th on the depth chart, a bust who’s a wing and a 4th... not very exciting or interesting of a return.
