Zaitsev only plays on the first pairing because he’s the best option defensively. You won’t play 2 offensive D together. Brannstrom and Wolanin are far better options defensively than ADA. I wouldn’t even trade Bernard-Docker for ADA straight up

You should. And in what world is Chabot only an offensive d-man? The guy is elite at both ends...

lol some people just don't get it.

Putting up almost a point/game and playing league average defense with Marc Staal as your pairmate is Norris worthy.

Deangelo would be #1 RHD on the majority of teams in the league with exceptions for
1. Boston (McAvoy)
2. Montreal (Weber)
3. Carolina (Dougie, and also Pesce, **** Carolina is good)
4. Washington (Carlson)
5. Dallas (Klingberg)
6. Nashville (Josi)
7. St. Louis (Pietrangelo)
8. San Jose (Karlsson/Burns)
9. NYR (Fox)

That's it..

I'd put him behind Letang and Makar too. Also Josi plays the left side

Edit: doughty and Jones too
