Whoah boy remove «realistic» from the title. Both teams reject faster than the time it took TOR to collapse in 2013

We could get both of those players for the price of a 2nd, and Merkley is way more valuable than a 2nd.

Most titles that have 'realistic' in them are full of unrealistic trades...

Wild need a 3C and I like Kerfoot in that spot. Addison has a high ceiling, but he's a project (who could easily bust imo) and MN has a lot of depth at RD.

I'd actually like to see a Dermott/Menell(Belpedio) 3rd pair next year for MN. MN would have to move about 3 d-men for it to happen though.

I also look at it as being Zucker for Kerfoot, Dermott, and a late 1st for the trade.

MN would be freeing up quite a bit of cap for Tor, there is value in that. If MN wasn't desperate for centers then the trade wouldn't make sense for them.

Value probably isn't far off as is. Kerfoot is worth a 2nd and Dermott a 3rd/4th? If Addison is worth his draft position as a 2nd, then the trade isn't far off. Just the cap savings should cover the difference in value.

Edit* I do think Tor needs a different 3C than Kerfoot: a more physical a better defensive center to fill the hole Kadri left.

Kerfoot is a good 3C, just expensive. I kinda want a guy like Wallmark if we’re being honest

I agree. He's just not the fit for 3C that I'd like Tor to have. He'd be a good 3C (with PP time) fit for MN because they need another offensive center. I wouldn't give up a lot to get him though. Taking a chance on Chucky as the 3C on a cheap deal is a gamble I'd take rather than paying a premium price.

Chucky is already here, and has played much better than I expected from him. I do think it would be beneficial to both the team and the player to take a short and cheap prove it deal. I don't think many teams will be lining up to sign Chucky in the offseason after all. Lots of baggage and not good play with him the last couple of seasons.

I think Boyle would be a better fit for Tor than MN. He falls into the JEE and Strum d-zone type of center for MN, they need the more offensive 3C. Kerfoot, Haula, Strome (CHI), Domi, etc would be ideal for that but their contracts aren't something I really want to pay for in contracts or assets to acquire.
