Is this enough for strome

Created by: arafay
Team: 2020-21 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 7, 2020
Published: Apr. 7, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Strome is just what this team needs in a 2c. Jets give up roslovic and Stanley for him. Ones a winger who could post a 50 pt season as a winger next year and Stanley is likely a year away from being an nhl defensemen.

The poolman trade is after the the season begins and only happens if both heinola and Samberg make the team

That's a good trade for both teams. Chicago gets a decent 3c and possible a second c. You get a strong 2c
I like this deal for Winnipeg

Yes - WPG should be all over this . Bowman might do strome for roslovic straight up lol.

In all seriousness , strome is a great fit. I think WPG should sign him for 5.25 x 5 .

Poolman is better than Beaulieu and they don't play the same side.
I don't know why people keep trading Poolman. He is a cheap D and the Jets need cheap help anywhere they can take it.
But yes, that should be enough for Strome.

Would love to get Strome for that.
Keep Harkins, swap in Vesa/4th instead. 2 players who need a change of scenery

I had high hopes for poolman and he was really living u pro then but this last part of the season before the stoppage made it seem like it was all a fluke. Poolman was very bad in back half. While beaulieu was better imo both before the injury and was great after.

I think the jets should wait on signing him long term both because he has only had 100 games of real success in the nhl and he might not fit in. Also we need cap space the year after the expansion but not much after that so bridging him for now looks like the better option

Well I think he played a little bit better off the bat because he was playing with JMo. But I don't think he's worth dumping. He can play bottom pairing mins, is cheap and is a RHD. That is pretty much what the Jets need imo

Would you rather have beaulieu or poolman? I think that’s what it comes down to. Beaulieu brings a certain toughness to the backend and is a great mentor for Samberg. I also like beaulieu more because of that and his ability to drive play form the back end. I know plus minus doesn’t really matter but he has a very good plus minus.

He was also coming off a bad ankle injury and was playing with Bitetto. I’d think he showed more than enough in the first half of the season to have him play on the 3rd pairing with Samberg or someone else that’s better than Bitetto.

Not to sound ignorant but your deal is not really the same. Mine has 2 extra pieces and Roslovic is really the only peice both the jets would be willing to move and Chicago would want. So not really your deal

I understand that and by no means am hellbent on moving poolman. I just think that if we can get beaulieu signed he is a better option. Then having poolman as an extra doesn’t make sense

I question moving up 10 spots in draft and add seabrook in deal, obviously a lot of factors there and chi would have to move up a bunch in draft lottery. Bored isolation thoughts lol

I’d rather not. If we get a lottery pick we don’t need strome

Ya not in chevys playbook either, like the strome add, harkins is interesting but buying on poolparty ceiling could be interesting, poolman may have peaked out and headed for a journeyman status. A attempted gamble on Patrick would be on my list also if strome isn’t in the cards. My idea was an attempt to get into the top 5 and possibly a next year add over a patience add in 1/2 years add to the squad.
