Don’t think blues would take that without a pick

Pittsburgh doesn’t need a rhd with Marino playing the hard minutes

    Undervalue for tierney

Blues move gives them 2.75M cap saving (after they bury Khaira) so they can resign their captian.. Oilers would be doing them a favour taking their #4C maybe even 5th center who is making 5M.

Letang, Marino, Benning.. there's 3 righthand D on most teams that seems solid lineup to me unless you think they are going to resign Schultz for 5M to play 3rd pairing?

Maybe underselling Tierney but most OTT acgm seem to move him so kinda drops his value on site

First of all, Bozak is our 3C. He's good for 35-40 points, wins draws, kills penalties, forechecks, dependable in all situations. In other words, he's easily the best player in the trade and definitely worth a good 65-75% of that salary. Khaira might be somewhat interesting to the Blues, but they have no use for Chiasson.

It seems like Khaira has value to everyone but Oilers fans. You know that Sweeney offered Heinen for Khaira at the deadline, right?

I understand the offer but was that more of a cap savings move for Boston. As Heinen is clearly the better player and if EDM had the enough room likely would have been a done deal

Why not ask for a 7th then? Or an AHL prospect? Clearly Don Sweeney thinks more of Khaira than you do.

So I am very much aware that Bozak is the better overall player but Chiasson isn't that bad 24 points in 65 games vs Bozak's 29 in 67 games. Blues will need cap space if they intend on resigning Dunn and Pietro to longer term deals and center being a position of strength for STL so moving a UFA #3C when you have a replacement in Thomas or Sundqvist easy savings of 3M without much point production lost

You realize that if that trade happened the vote would have been 100% in favour of win for EDM? There's a reason everyone hates on Khaira the guy has flashes of being an NHLer but is invisible 95% of the time. I used to believe he could have been middle 6 power forward but that's a stretch now and if some other team wants to give us something for him I'm on board because I'd rather sign somebody that plays like they have a job to lose

I'm not against trading Bozak, but his value goes way beyond point production. He can expertly handle 50% of a team's D-zone starts if you need him to, that's huge. Meanwhile, there's just no room for Chaisson in our wing pool. So saving cap money is great, but personally I'd say try a different offer. Maybe that's just me.
