Yeah good luck with that, Considering reports are that he's seeking at least $8 million per.

I think it's an overpayment for georgiev personally. I want a young goalie too buy if you're talking about movie 2 potentially 2nd rounders I'd rather chase korpisalo or one of Pitts 2 rfas. I've watched Krug play a lot and he's amazing offensively but he has extremely poor defensive instincts. If he'd sign a shorter deal say 5 years 7 million I'd think about it . Edmundson is the one ufa on the blue line I hope they buy. He's only 26 he's a perfect player for this team. Can play top 4 minutes kill penalties and has a decent transition game considering he's not gifted offensively

    ...

You just signed him with Detroit... he won't magically get younger tears of joy
Also Krug is 28 (29 in four days)

    Never heard of that

but this yeah: "Would I take less to stay in Boston? It's something that I've talked about with my family and my agent. It's something I'm interested in,"

Yeah there was a rumor that he was asking for 6 years $49.5 million from Boston it was by Joe Murphy who's know to be a hack so we'll see. As far as saying that he'd like to stay in Boston and take less. Players say that all the time to the media. He's starting a young family and i'm sure he wants to be paid and that wont be in Boston that's for sure.

Krug isn't going to sign here because Stevie wouldn't want him. He'd be the exact opposite of everything he's been saying, and everything he's done in TBL. If Krug was 27 maybe, but not 29-30.

I'd also rather have Rasmussen than Jost. More upside in Rasmussen (younger, larger, can play C), Jost is who he is, and really hasn't developed (3 years in the league, playing sheltered minutes the first 2 years, 38% FO %, negative Corsi). Jost can't play C, because he can't win faceoffs (where is size is a huge disadvantage), If you want Jost, you don't give up anything of value (he'd probably be worth a late 2nd rounder at the moment). If he was worth anything, COL wouldn't give him up, as they need a 3rd line C anyway.

You have a real homer attitude lmao. Krug was born and raised in the detroit area, his family lives there, and he grew up a huge wings fan, played for midget teams in the detroit area and went to Michigan State University. Im sure he'd love to come play for the wings especially if we were gonna give him the money he wants. But i dont think stevie would want him. By the time we're ready to compete he will be declining.

Lol Charlie McAvoy was a Rangers fans and you probably saw his tweet " I hate Bruins so much " after BOS beat NYR in 2013... Yet, after the Cup final, last year he said " There's not any other place that I would want to be " and was an RFA, re-signed for a very good deal. Krug has been in the Bruins organization for eight years now and he loves being here... Alright he was a Red Wings fan but signing now with DET would be stupid since they're in rebuild and it will take couple of years before they're relevant... I mean, good again. Krug will be like 34 then and not much chances to win the Cup.
