Another possible scenario for canucks part 2

Created by: Canucker
Team: 2021-22 Vancouver Canucks
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 8, 2020
Published: Apr. 9, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
All signings and term are at where they would be entering the 2021 off season.
Also assuming cap will go up a bit, I'm guessing around the 5 mil mark..
Eriksson is finally bought out, as they have more room to do it and frees up extra space. petterssen and hughes are each signed to 2 year bridge deals to allow the canucks to get the garbage contracts off the books in the next year to two, IE; Luongo, Eriksson, beagle, roussel, ferland ..The Canucks probably would have welcomed elder back, and he would have liked to end his career in vancouver, but at the end the day there just isnt enough room to get him signed..tryamkin made enough progress in the previous season to be signed to be fulltime..
Pearson signing is right in line with the other top 6..
macEwen showed a lot aswell and gets a pay raise.
The bottom line will be a rotating combination on
Michaelis, focht, podkolzin, hoglander, and lockwood..bunch of young guys that will give the canucks a good look at their future.
The trade of demko to sens happens at the trade deadline.

I wouldn't be surprised if they both signed for close to 9 million each

I really don't think either will get more than 7 to 7.5.
They're only just coming off there ELC and want to win with the group that they have..maybe they do a bridge deal instead for something like 2 or 3 years at 6 to 7 mil..then sign the big deal once vancouver is rid of all the garbage contracts, ie; erikson beagle roussel luongo

Yea i agree if they sign that low it's probably a bridge deal. I would say petterson is more likely to sign a long term deal tho
