What is the value of pens players

Created by: Pens3lieve

Description
We’ll only use picks so this doesn’t morph into an argument over prospect value.
These picks are not really team specific just say middle of the pack picks.
This has nothing to do with the teams trading for these players. No difference between a Tampa or Detroit pick. Just say middle of the pack picks.
What is the value of pens players in picks?

What is the value of pens players in picks? Average picks. Team makes no difference.

I cannot even start to think about trading Crosby, Malkin, Guentzel, among others! tears of joy

If I'm reading your post right, to me he's: One first and two seconds or 'middle of the pack!'
Doubt he gets 2 firsts (or "first picks in the second round") from elite squads. He's still a good asset play-wise but his age and cap hit will be tough to fit in with top teams like BOS, STL, TBL, WSH, etc. which are usually spending to the cap...

Agree. I wouldn’t trade most of the players either. It is just for kicks. Like what the value of these players is.

Get it yes it would be hard for any team to squeeze in a big contract. I’m not suggesting trading any of these players. Just wondering what the value of all the players is.

Really good work. Although for Jake, I think 4 first round picks cuz he’s in his prime, a 40 goal 90 point guy & elite
Playoff performances.

He could definitely command that still from some teams, esp. as TDL approaches and the heat picks up...

Very fair point. If we hadn’t extended him, he would have been talked about concerning offer sheets.good work by GMJR to sign him early. If there’re average 1sts too then maybe. 3 1sts at least. That’s what I had Geno and tanger getting bit Jake is way younger, cheaper, and BTW scores 40.

Agree given Jake’s resume, I’m sure teams were willing to offer him similar deals compared to what Marner got. It was a huge win signing him early for sure.

While it was a HUGE win to sign him early...I think an offer sheet would've looked more like the Montreal to Aho one then the Marner deal.

Yes agree. After the 2017-18 season ended, I believed an extension for Jake would look something like 9 million AAV for 5 years.

I don't see Geno pulling 3 1st's. I think JG gets significantly more than he does. Think Geno gets a playoff team 1st and an A prospect at this point.
