The sharks can CBO him themselves, they aren't in a position to give up a first, when they don't even need cap space right now.

Why would the Hawks retain, to add a guy that would play in the same spot Kampf is in now? Keep in mind, I am not comparing players, but as to where they would play in this line-up, we are swapping guys that will play on our 4th lines...

Yea, probably just keep Engvall and run a 20 man roster, and wait until someone needs to go on LTIR...

This way they can CBO both Jones and Vlasic

Absolutely not, Vlasic is still a servicable defenseman, the player who isn't CBO'd will just get a normal buyout on a few years, no sense in sending a 1st that, even with protection, would still likely end up being a high pick).

He's making 7 million until 2026 and is showing signs of regressing, that's a contract that can really screw a team out of keeping a young star, even if bought out. I agree not for a 1st but keeping him would be idiotic

Lmao no he isn't. He has sucked this year and is one of the worst contracts in the league. And his contract still has so much term

So you say they should CBO Vlasic, then they could just buyout Jones next year, no trading away 1sts. SJ isn't going to go after Taylor hall or anything, there is no point in doing this trade.

Vlasic is VERY much still a servicable defenseman, you either don't watch him, or are stuck in the echo chamber so much that you can't make a fair assessment because of the contract.

IF THE SHARKS ARE TRYING TO CBO BOTH VLASIC AND JONES WHY WOULD THEY TRADE VLASIC INSTEAD OF JONES.
