Offseason Reset

Created by: PakNation7
Team: 2020-21 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 10, 2020
Published: Apr. 10, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Johnson LTIR for Compliance Buyout.

Ennis is a faster surprisingly more physical version of Sheary.

Gardiner has his flaws but I feel he would fit in really well with Pittsburgh’s high end offence in a bottom pairing role versus when we was playing top minutes in Toronto. Plus he’s a million times better than Johnson!!

PIT going to have to throw in a lot more to take a 3rd line center that barely played this seaosn and has 1 year on his deal. Especially if CAR has to eat $1.2M the next 3 years when it's being considered that the cap could be flat for the next 2-3 years.

I like Ennis possibly as the #3C. Zero need for Thornton. He's old, slow, and won't contribute much. While Gardiner is better than JJ, a million times is a stretch. Murray doesn't deserve that contract. He'll probably come back for 1-2 years around $3.5-4M.

Yeah, Jumbo was never a burner with speed but coming back this year, much less next, has me hearing "Just a bit outside". I made some trades for him in the off season/early this season and I have never been so happy to be wrong.
