Dach isnt gonna be sent back to the WHL after playing the way he did last season. He showed he can hang defensively and if he works with the Hawks strength and conditioning team to fill out his frame hes gonna be a physical specimen to watch next season, which was really his only concern

Forget all that, Dach CAN NOT go back to the NHL, once you’re pro that’s it.

I know you mean WHL, but is that really the rule?

Actually, I believe you can go back. There have been cases of players having a year burned after playing 12 games instead of 9, going back to juniors for the year, and then playing juniors the next year. That being said, I have no idea if playing a majority of the year changes that.

Either way, ship has sailed there.

He can not go back to junior he will be to old and it would be pointless for him . However he can be sent down to the AHL without having to pass waivers . ex. kotkaniemi in montreal this year
