Feel like they can't match unless they trade a Gourde, Killorn, or a Johnson. I think every team is thinking the same thing though and looking to potentially OS Tampa. But I feel like the trend down in TB is to take less to stay with a contender.

Definitely an interesting story line to follow.

Except Johnson and Gourde have full NTCs until years from now, so Killorn is the only big money option to move, but even if they do with all their other RFAs coming due there's no way they can match a $7M OS. I love Cirelli, and that is a gross over payment for him, but that offer would get him on your team.

It'll depend on if they're able to move somebody. Personally though, I think any team that can afford to OS Cirelli is thinking about it and I wouldn't be shocked to see him get multiple offers. I think an ideal OS if you really want a chance to land him is to go 3 years at a price close to what you have here. It makes it difficult for Tampa to match money wise and is also enticing to Cirelli because he gets to sign a new deal for more money in only 3 years when (hopefully) the cap will be back on the upswing. He'll still be an RFA though, so you don't have to worry about losing him for nothing.

Tampa won't have to match bc Cirelli isn't interested in leaving Tampa. If they had to they could, it would mean they lose Cernak but obv Cirelli is more valuable. In any case, very doubtful teams are throwing 7 million os at Cirelli and he 99% tells them no thanks anyway. There's been 0 indication any of the main 3 Tampa rfa's are unhappy or wanting to leave a top contender just for extra $.

Is the goal here to get Cirelli and loose Heiskanen the next year? Seems like a pretty nearsighted idea to me

Tampa doesn't have to match it, Because Cirelli already made it abundantly clear that he has no desire to leave Tampa. So he's not signing that os.
