I dont even see him coming here. Not that we dont want him but apparently he isnt interested in coming home and we cant afford him anyway so not a good scenario for us.

Dont forget tax. He will make half, he will take home about 4 million in Ontario. This isnt even close to enough. Try 10-11 to play in Canada

The NHL as you and I both know it is really going to change because of Covid. You need to wake up and realiize that Pietrangelo could be on the move.

If COVID-19 is actually going to change any of the NHL then the League is going to drop the salary cap for the lost revenue, and it will be a percentage of the salary cap lost, so if you are actually going by that little thing you just did, Toronto still wouldn't be able to afford him, because the Cap Space will go down just as much as a player's salary will. Pietrangelo has multiple chances he will go, but also multiple chances he will stay. Considering his wife told him not to long ago she wants to stay in St.Louis because of family, and why would he want to go for that reason, he is loved here, he is the captain, has every chance to win more cups here, and also the fact that you know maybe he can still get upwards of 9-11M here.

Does he have chances to leave sure, Toronto isn't a realistic place though. You have no cap, and he isn't going to take a paycut just because you are close to home. Calgary, Winnipeg, and a Florida team are probably the ideal choices Florida because no taxes at all. Not to mention, Toronto isn't even willing to make the cap space for his 9-11M contract with a 7-8 Year term. So why are we even having this discussion. Pietrangelo isn't going to Toronto it's not realistic. It's more realistic he goes somewhere else.

If he want to win another cup he will resign with St Louis.
They have a much deeper roster, and their defense is by a miles superior to Toronto.

Yah it will change until Ottawa....... Detroit, Anaheim or the Wild come up to the table with 8 year 11 million bucks. If I was Ottawa that is what I would do. Lots of young superstar forwards coming in the draft.

Do you have any idea of how much in endorsements a year that Pietrangelo would make playing in Toronto?

You do realize that Pietrangelo is from Toronto and his favourite team growing up was Toronto?

You do realize that Pietrangelo is good friends with Tavares?

You also should realize that the Blues winning a cup was a total fluke and will never happen again?

You also realize that Tavares, Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Rielly are probably the best young core in the NHL and in a great position to win multilpe cups in Toronto?

You probably do not understand this but if Pietrangelo would win a cup in Toronto which is the hockey universe of the world that he would go down in history as a hero and be worshiped by the biggest hockey fan base in the world.

I am not saying you are wrong, I am just saying it could happen and Pietrangelo comes to Toronto and where there is smoke there is fire and the Leafs have the resources to sign him and the Pietrangelo rumours comming to Toronto are only going to get stronger because the Blues have still not resigned him yet and he sure looks like he is going to hit the UFA market where anything can happen. Also, why would Blues sign Falk long term is they wanted to sign Pietrangelo?

You must be joking right? The stars all aligned for the Blues last year and there is no chance that they will ever win another Stanley Cup. The Leafs have a much stronger young core than the Blues so have no idea how you can make that statement.

Ahahahahshahahhahahahahajahjahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha! Just take a look at the standings there your answer smart boy. The blues are second in the entired league and toronto have been battling for a playoff spot despite playing in the worst devision in the league. Maybe you should stop pretending the Leafs are the only good team in the league because with that defensive trash they won’t win a cup in the next decade.

It was actually much harder to win a cup in a 6 team league as quality of entire league was much better.

Do you really playing in a division with Boston and Tampa is one of the worst in the NHL?

Find it hard to believe that you call the Leafs defence with Rielly, Muzzen, Holl, Dermott and Sandin is weak and Leafs will not win a cup in next decade with players like Tavares, Matthews, Marner, Nylander and Rielly all just starting to hit prime. I think your comment makes very little sense.

You do not seem to realize that the Leafs have actually been building a real powerhouse while you have been sleeping at the wheel.

Lol you are full of yourself. Back then hockey was no where near what it was for America as for Canada. When your only two Canadian teams are Montreal and Toronto you got all those “Canadian kids” going to play for their favorite team so don’t act like you didn’t have a majorly stacked team. Also hate to break it to you but your team sucks and you want to know why you’re not going to win a cup and Matthews is going to leave you is because your gm is not a smart guy. you have 3 young stars in Matthews marner and nylander and what does he do goes and give Tavares 11mil to do what play second or take the captaincy from Matthews. He should’ve used that money to get a top dman to play with Reilly or spread it around so you had better depth. I can’t wait for in 4 years when Matthews goes to az and you get nothing and no cup.

Just curious why you laugh at a offer to finally get an upgrade on your goalie position???

Andersen is a pending UFA, is 5 years older and played just as well as Rittich did this year

You sound like a jealous Ranger fan who dreams of one day cheering for a team like the Leafs. You say the GM is not smart yet he is the only GM in the NHL building a 3 tier hockey development system and just wait till you see Brazeau come through the system and be a star on the Leafs and then you will remember what I told you tonight. You need to wake up and pay attention to what the Leafs are doing behind the scenes to build a winner which the Rangers have been sleeping a wheel for years.

Yes its is the worst division with Detroit, Ottawa, Buffalo, Montreal all playing under .500 even Florida wasn’t a force this year.

If there someone who doesn’t make sense day after day on that platform it you my friend. A hockey team is built with 23 players and you win with those 23 players. This team depth is terrible. Sandin is a great prospect who have done nothing yet in Nhl, Dermott is terrible, Holl wouldn’t be on the roster for the 15 other qualify playoff team. You don’t have any character players up front, goaltending have been a issues this year. Stop pretending the leafs are on of the best team when the are not. They are a second tier team right now.

I would have too agree with everything you have said but I still think Anderson is a much stronger goalie when he is playing up to his capabilities.
