Cirelli and CBO

Created by: CFMan
Team: 2020-21 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 10, 2020
Published: Apr. 13, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Cirelli is a marginally better 2C than strome but I think Strome will come cheaper. TB will want to pinch as many pennies as they can so they can keep cernak and Serg. Strome will probably cost a million or 2 less than Cirelli will ask for. If TB still doesnt think this is fair make the third a second.

CBO on Seabrook for obvious reasons, but promise to resign him. He loves it here and did/does a lot for the team. He should play out the rest of his career here (on a cheap deal).

Winnipeg needs people who can play D, they can have CDH or Maatta in this scenario. We get a middle/late third in return.

Koekoek has been fine, I like how he gets under peoples skin and has a semi-physical game which fits right in with the Ducks style of game and he'll be cheap as a reliable bottom pairing guy with a little offensive upside. Too many young D in the system.

Smith has been phenomenal in his role as PK and is another guy I like. However, other teams just see him as a cap dump (wrongfully). Sikura wont get a chance to play for the hawks, other people will leapfrog him eventually so we trade him to the devils to actually get some playing time where their star forward is uh Kyle Palmieri...Sikura should find himself in the middle 6. Krys has value as a young player, he hasnt stuck out much but just another issue of other people jumping over him.

Tampa bay laughs at that deal. They aren't trading Cirelli. Only letting him go if you OS him. Also why would they trade him for a player that would cost the same amount

You're severely underrating Cirelli, and ANA gladly take Koekkoek for a 6th lol

Teams can not do a CBO on a player and then re-sign that player to a cheaper contract, 90% sure of it.

Thought the whole reason of dealing Strome, Was because Dach is the future 2C and Strome will want too much to be a 3C. So you'll have the exact same thing with adding Cirelli, But only Cirelli will be more expensive to sign.

He'll probably be Os so it might be better to get a cheaper replacement and a high pick. And neither has signed anything yet so we'll see what they get. I know they would rather trade them but they have NTC so its obviously harder to trade them.

I didnt think so, Strome and Cirelli have simiar production and CHI is adding an early third or second rounder to make up the difference. What else needs to be added to make it equal in your opinion?

Toews is getting up there in age so the idea was to get out ahead of it with the plan that Dach is future #1 and Cirelli #2 and eventually over time toews would move down the lines at center until Dach is ready. Cirelli is more expensive but a slightly better player that would make it worth it.
