lol hes a #1 D. Krug and Barrie are about to be paid about the same. Plenty of teams would be fine with him. He had about 10 teams trying to trade for him this past summer and everyone new what he was asking for on a long term deal.

Trouba is not a #1D he may have been in Winnipeg but now the rangers are regretting that trade. Trading a 1st and pionk for him oh god do they regret that now. barrie i can understand getting 8 mill he has had 2 14 goal seasons in colorado and if babcock played him right he would have done the same here. Overall his production is better than Trouba. Krug is on a on a different level then trouba. His production is way way better and he overall is just a better defenseman. He has earned that money. Trouba had 1 good season and many analysts said a big contract for him would be risky and now the rangers learned the hard way that paying him 8mill was a huge mistake.

Rangers aren't regretting the trade at all. It was an awesome trade, was then. Still is.

In fact they're elated. Not only did Fox become a top 20 RHD in the league in his 1st season, but Deangelo became one of the top offensive dmen in ALL of hockey.

That's some awesome results you can only dream about.

As for Trouba, his value remains the same as it was in June. The only difference is that he wasn't running the PP with the Rangers, because he has 2 of the better PP QB's in the league also on his team lol. His even strength point rate was exactly the same haha.

That all being said he's a 1RHD lock right now on plenty of teams in the NHL:

Detroit, Chicago, Winnipeg, Anaheim, Arizona, Edmonton, Vancouver, New Jersey, Buffalo, Ottawa, Tampa, Toronto. That's over 1/3rd of the league lol.

Most likely he gets dealt for a 2C or kept. But I think Rangers are happy either way. They're falling into one of the better D cores in hockey, and their F's aren't looking too bad either.

none of those teams would take him especially toronto, he is overpaid, his value has decreased since the trade, he overall is just not worth it. Unless the rangers retain a good chunk of salary no one is taking him especially for a 2nd center. One good season and his production got worse. Sure he adds some toughness to the team but thats about it. Nobody will want an 8 million third pairing guy. The jets are probably smiling and thanking the rangers for dodging a bullet.

lolololol when you start using Larry Brooks opinions to make your point, it's not going to end well.

Thats the same guy who wanted to deal a 1st + Buch + Lundkvist just to get Trouba....of course he didn't live up to his hype. His hype to Brooks is Erik Karlsson lol.

Toronto can't afford him, but he's easily the best RHD on that team by a country mile. Same thing with the others.
