Not for that money. He would go from a team who just won a cup to the worst team in the league as he is 30. If he hits FA he will get 10+ from the team he signs with but for Detroit it will be like 12 million

With no Jaybow I think STL does every thing they can to resign Pietrangelo.



I'd give him $2M for a couple of years he has improved quite a bit from when we got him in the Jensen trade. He has shown he can put up some points and his defensive game is better than Cholowski's at this point. Now I don't think he is part of the long term solution but I play him above Beiga, Lashoff, McIllrath and Hicketts.

Doubt either Hall or Pietrangelo sign with Detroit for anything less then 7 years $70 million or 7 years $77 million both would want big money to play on that team. And rightfully so and Detroit could afford it. But don't want to get into paying aging players high priced money when they will be trending down sooner rather then later.
