Bjornfot will be ready and on the top pair. Defense will look like this:
Bjornfot Doughty
MacDermid Walker
Anderson Roy
Hutton/Ryan/LaDue/Brickley

But we already went over this. You just want to believe this makes sense for the Kings, but it does not.

I think management are willing to invest another year in seeing how far along Anderson, Bjornfot and Clague are by giving them substantial playing time, with MacDermid cutting in and out as the extra man. Adding Moore doesn't do much for us.

At least I got a reaction

And that's if Bjornfot and Anderson are ready. Hutton and Ryan likely gone. Brickley was loaned to MB and he's missed some time, don't think he is NHL ready unless I'm wrong

k for kings fans 1 question what would it take to get kempe? trying to asses his value but its tricky. Currently I am using what coleman got as the basis for the trade.

Coleman return is more comparable to what Iafallo would get. I think the Kings look at Kempe as their long term 3LW. If they were to trade him I really have no clue what they'd get back. Maybe a 2nd and a prospect.

Kings are looking to acquire a veteran LHD this summer, not a depth defenseman. Blake confirmed as much just after the trade deadline. It's likely going to be via free agency, as they're not going to want to give up anything of value for a short-term stopgap. Looking at the current UFAs available, my guess would be that they'd take a look at someone like Andy Greene or Andrej Sekera. In other words, someone whose best days are well behind them, but played at a high level during their prime. One or two years, somewhere in the $2M-3M range.

Kings are very high on Kempe. His actual trade return is likely significantly different than his actual trade value. The Kings view him as part of the future core of this team, and won't trade him unless someone significantly overpays. We're talking a 1st round pick plus. I don't think anyone will (or should) actually give that up for Kempe, so my guess is that he stays put, at least until his current contract expires.

the main idea is making kempe the 3rd line center for the leafs as that contract would be a great fit. I origninally wanted him on the wing but our wing depth is so good rn. this is going to be tricky

You don't want Kempe at center. He's a natural winger as we are learning. He sucks at center and he can't win faceoffs to save his life.

if the maple leafs didnt have wing depth I would love him as a replacement for say johnsson but even if johnsson goes our wing depth is to use him there oh well plan B it is

im debating whether to trade with ottawa for one of their center prospects as their center depth is massive or go for something crazy (meaning the center may not be that great but paired with 2 good wingers he may surprise some people)

No one wants John Moore’s contract as well a rebuilding team in LA I don’t think they would accept it
