New wrinkle in the Kaprizov saga

Description
Michael Russo of the Athletic is reporting that apparently Kaprizov wants his deal to start this season if the NHL resumes play. With the KHL season cancelled, nothing would prevent him from signing now and the only hold-up at this point is the NHL not allowing teams to sign contracts that begin this season right now until they figure out what form the rest of the season takes.

He could sign the Perunovich/Mitchell agreement. Basically they signed for two contracts, one that starts this year, one that starts next year if the season gets cancelled.

Guessing the hold-up on something like that is he's also changing his agent. He was represented by Dan Milstein, but apparently he wants a different agent.

A: It sounds like he wants a big contract asap, 22 instead of 23.
B: Pricing himself out of minny asap.
Big star, big plans, Soviet style...

Minnesota will have cap space to keep him, that won't be a problem. He is definitely setting himself up to get his ELC over with as soon as possible though.

Actually Milstein never represented him officially. Russo mentioned that in the article which I found really interesting. Another interesting tidbit is that Kaprizov and Guerin text each other and have a good relationship

I saw that, I guess I should have said "unofficially represented" because Milstein was definitely doing some work putting together meetings with the Wild. Strange situation, but I wonder how often this type of situation occurs where an agent helps facilitate communication without officially being their rep.
