Description
This is contingent on several things-
-Us getting Laffreniere and Stutzle( so picking #1/#3 overall)
- I'm a big believer in Batherson, I think next year he will come into his own and easily pot in 50-60+ points.
- Brown/Abramov/Hogberg/Gustavsson will all get short term bridge deals; while showing pockets of brilliance, they'll need to prove themselves more.
- Edmundsun is a UFA on carolina, a team who is full of defenseman. He is a good stay-at-home guy with a bit offensive upside; think he'd be a great compliment to the youth and flair of one of JBD/Brannstrom, and would be a good second pairing.
-Minnesota is in a rebuild state and is willing to give up one of Brodin/Dumba for draft picks. I think 2 second round picks is a fair valuation as his contract expires at the end of the 2020-2021 season? I think Brodin would be a great compliment to Chabot. He has solid defensive statistics, but can still produce and make plays offensively.
Haula is a veteran, can kill penalties and bring some serious speed; all things that would fit very well into this young and upcoming team.

Brodin will fetch more in a trade for sure.

Bathers on 50-60 points? That's not gonna happen. Maybe in his prime he will get there but not yet.

If your going to bury Brown, that is the kind of player Minny would be looking for in a Brodin deal. Now, I would certainly make it a "sign and trade" deal (would not be moving Brown for an expiring contract), but 2 round picks is WAY off.

Brown for Brodin and MAYBE a small bone in return....

    I agree.
    Brendon Dillion just got a 2nd and a 3rd
Alec Martinez just got Two 2nds
    Justin Braun a 2nd and a 3rd

The issue is, Brodin is quite a bit better than those guys. I would probably suggest the NYI 1st and the OTT 2020 2nd...IF...it came with that extension. Other wise the NYI 1st and some kind of conditional pick.

That's exactly what you would have to do.

A bridge deal is a better option for Batherson

I think it's the way to go if he's hitting around 30-40 points. However, as someone who watches almost every sens game, he's impressed me the most out of any of our prospects. He was really finding his game in the last 10 games of the season or so. Call me crazy, but I do believe he'll be hitting 20+ goals and 30+ assists next year.

Okay thanks for that info. I still think that's a deal well-worth it for us. We have so many draft picks, it would be a shame if we weren't able to flip any of that into capital.
