D core looks above average, offense looks weak and goaltending is below average

I get that Suter’s & Weber’s contracts are long and all, but they’re still great defensemen, unlike someone like PK Subban, who is garbage and makes $9 million. Also, if you’re including retired players like Kesler, why isn’t Marian Hossa or Marian Gaborik on here.

Also, where on earth is Andrew Ladd?

I agree with most of these but Benn should be here. He is locked up for so long + he is making way to much money. I would rather have Erikssons contract than Benns

And how are you including Doughty, Price, Weber, Suter, and Benn, but not Erik Karlsson?

I think he means they are locked up for so long and their already past their primes. Suter is a good player but he is 35 locked up for 6 more years
And yes Ladd should 100% be here

Price ($10.5M for 6 more years, until he is 38, full NMC) and Bobrovsky ($10M for 6 more years, until he is 37, full NMC until the last 2 years) have to be in the goaltender contract discussion. Especially over a $6mx2 contract.

23 season between them, 36 playoff wins between them. That's 1.57 playoff wins per season. $10M for 6 more years, into their late 30's. Poster children for bad contracts.

If that's the case then I would swap Lundqvist with Price, because Lundqvist only has a year left while Price has 6 years left and will be 39 in the last year.
Erik Karlsson should definitely be here too based on cost, length and injury history.

Not sure I'd call Hank's deal a bad contract at all...It's fair.

Price might be on one of the worst contracts in the league.

Price signed the same contract Lundqvist did, so guess we will see if it's bad at the end of it

...Not sure we have to wait that long.

Over the life of Lundqvist's contract he's at +44.28 Goals Saved above Expected.

We're 2 of 8 years into Price's deal and he's at -6.58 Goals Saved above Expected.

Basically Price is going to need to consistently average 2016-17 Carey Price level goaltending for the next 6 years as his body breaks down without any considerable regression or injuries in order match what Lundqvist has done over the same time.

I'd bet pretty heavily against that.

Lmao I'm still taking Lundqvist's contract over Martin Jones' any day of the week, Lundqvist actually earned his contract, only has 1 year left on it, and age has only caught up to him in the last 1.5 seasons... Jones on the other hand has 4 years left on his deal at 5.75 per... and has had a save percentage under .900 for the past 2 seasons, something that has never happened to Henrik, even in the rebuilding years here.

If the Kings weren't rebuilding right now Doughty would be getting 50-60 points a season again and nobody would be saying his contract is bad so slow down tiger.

Because he'll be 37 getting paid almost 7M when the contact is over. Also, he gets paid almost 1M more than other players with a similar role.

Brown's contract is fine. Before this season he had a 50+ point season as a 34 year old and the season before that he got 68 points as a 33 year old. If he didnt get injured this season he would have been in the 50 point range again. Do research.
