CBJ are not trading Jones. They also need a top 6 center not wingers, and also they don't have much cap space.

Jones would need marner plus kapane plus 1st plus 2nd...
I doubt they'd throw in Anderson either.

Also I love marner but he virtually has a no trade clause with his cap hit. Hes not worth that at all and you're not giving up a top dman for him with a cap hit like that.

Marner’s market value is in the 9.3-9.9 million dollar range. Honestly, if the Leafs retain 1.5 million, they might get a decent return.

Honestly Seth Jones is a tad overrated not going to lie. Hes good yes, but not a superstar talent. I would rather keep marner, but the only big difference is the cap hit with marner being over payed this year by like a million and Seth hardly produced over his contract this year. (not a fan of either team)
