Trades with every team in the Metro challenge

Created by: Pens3lieve
Team: 2020-21 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Apr. 17, 2020
Published: Apr. 18, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I'm not endorsing or suggesting that those teams would trade those players and frankly I would prefer not to trade many of the penguins players I did.
Just a little personal challenge to make a reasonable trade with every team in the division--putting aside the little "never trade within the division thing". LOL.
As I'm not as familiar with other teams players as I should be, let me know (if you have more insight) their trade values. Are the trades fair value, and if not, what should be added?

This is merely a personal challenge to make a reasonable deal with every team in a division. It would never happen, of course, but are the trade values fair? Let me know as I don't have quite as much insight into other teams. Would the pieces acquired fit the system?

You really know your stuff man. I don’t know if Carolina deals Necas but Murray warrants a huge return. I like the Patrick acquisition, he is really good, the only thing holding him back is injuries. The thing with Ho-Sang is that he’s a perimeter player & doesn’t play defense. He falls in the same category as Kessel, only worse.

Thanks. "really know your stuff"--I'm improving, I think, some of my old ACGMs last year were just awful in hindsight. LOL
I wasn't sure about ho-sang but now I get it. His situation seems strangely familiar to Pujliarvi/Andersson...lol. How many players don't fit and have problems with their team? A lot I guess. The Patrick thing is interesting. I think he could be great as well. A Flyers centre drafted top-3 with great potential who has head injuries-Patrick, but also Lindros. The flyers don't want that situation again. Maybe a fresh start would help, even if only on the mental side of things. Philly/Pittbubrgh don't trade; but this is ACGM. LOL
Depending on the Mrasek/Reimer situation, Carolina might not even need a goalie, but besides NJD what other Metro team needs a goalie? WSH? Either Pittsburgh or Washington would burn next time they played in the playoffs. Necas looks like a nice piece. His corsi is good but so is everyone's on Car.

The Columbus trade isn’t realistic at all. Peeke is better and more valuable then anything you’re offering. An AHL Player, a 5th round pick who was in the ECHL and a 3rd for a top 4 potential RHD, who might be playing top 4 in Columbus as soon next season, depending on what happens with Savard. Sorry, but Columbus really doesn’t even consider this.

I didn't know he was thought of that highly. He just seemed to me as a good, affordable 3rd pairing option. Is there another #3RHD in columbus or what would it take to make the trade work? How about Almeida(110 PTS.), 2nd Round pick, and Josh Ho-sang? @MitchMarnerElite commented he wouldn't fit with our team.

Peeke is our best defensive prospect.

3rd pair options would be Harrington, Murray or Kukan.

Also you’re 110 points couldn’t hit 20 in the ECHL last year, he likely won’t ever make an NHL lineup.

How about a 2020 or 2021 3rd for Harrington?

Yeah Necas & Patrick are two good young guys to target. Honestly it seems like Patrick has all the tools to be a star in the league. He’s a decent skater, for good hands, is smart, goes into the dirty areas & plays a fine defensive game. The only thing holding him back is his proness to serious injury.

Yup. Patrick has a lot of skill. I wouldn’t say he would be a star, but he could definitely be a good 60-70 point centre. Issue is, as you’ve mentioned, injuries

Yes Craig Button stated in 2016 that Nolan Patrick had elite potential & was the fourth best North American skater of guys in his age group (behind McDavid, Matthews & Eichel). His game fell off a lot during his draft year cuz of injury. Many believed he would go number 1.

Harrington is a poor skater. If he panned out, he would’ve really stabilized Toronto’s defense cuz he’s that big stay at home presence.

Harrington is a poor skater. If he panned out, he would’ve solidified Toronto’s defense cuz he can play the right side too.

What about Kukan? I sensed (before I checked the stats) not to accept a Columbus fans initial offer.

He's actually really good. Definitely would get the job done for a 3rd pairing defenseman.

We're fleecing the Flyers, but I like the base of the Carolina trade. Young goalie for young stud C/RW.

Fleecing might be a bit much though because Patrick is anything but a sure thing, and Ghost has “fallen off a log backward into a swamp at midnight” the last couple years. His contract presently is quite bad. Bjugstad has has his injury problems as well, but Pettersson is way better than Ghost right now that’s for sure. Make the 3rd a first round pick instead.

No to all deal tbh. Except for Philly and WSH.
