Think about this: if the NHL offers a CBO and CGY uses theirs on Lucic, Edmonton saves $750K x 3 there as well as $1.9M x 6 on Neal. That frees up $2.65M on my AGM above. How cool would that be?!

We could upgrade Smith to Dadonov (say) and still do all the other things listed here.

Yes that would be awesome. Upgrade upgrade upgrade. This CBO is going to be very good for us if it goes through. It is surprising to me that we are still paying for Pouliot every single time i see it, like when was the last time he played here, seems like a decade ago.

That's the #1 reason I don't want to buyout Neal: the cap hit lasts for 6 years. That stings.
