u know kerfoot is worth alot more than Stephan johns right Dallas would have to sweeten the deal with a low pick as he has 1 year left and toronto wont trade a guy on a good contract for a possible rental.

If toronto moved kerfoot for that it be a little one sided. Johns has 1 more year so toronto would probs pass on this unless dallas either extends him then trades or vice versa

yep cause they be ripping off toronto

I'd be fine with either player honestly. Johns is an important asset for DAL as well. A good shutdown D.

If dallas negotiates a contract extension with him then trades him to Toronto it could work or if toronto talks to him about an extension before hand it could also work.

Sign and trades that way almost never happen.

If something, DAL might be able to give you a conditional pick.

that could work. And once he arrives dubas can get a 3.5 for 4 years extension out of him.

Unless he doesn't end up in Seattle, which I find unlikely though.

I have a feeling seattle would be much more interested in our forwards (i.e. kapenan, mikeyv, hyman) or Liligren as their targets. If not toronto would probs give them a low pick and prospect to pick someone (johnsson). Or Dubas does what he did with holl and puts a ntc so even if they protect the max limit seattle cant touch him.

I don't think Liljegren needs to be protected. He's not eligible to be picked
