Not sure how trading of Fleury, Fehr and Kunitz helps the Pens in their Cup run. I'd rather keep those guys instead of the two coming from Dallas.

Fleury has to be moved by the deadline to get max return.

Fehr isn't a fit for Pittsburgh.

And Kunitz has one year left on his contract and is being phased out of the lineup, but a team would love his solid play, like Dallas.

Nichushkin is in a rut in DAL, if he came to Pittsburgh he may flourish. Still a high pedigree, so have to give up a good amount.

Niemi has to be taken for backup purposes.

So to get things in trades you have to give things in trades that equal the value. Thats how things work...

How is Fehr not a fit? He's a great PK guy, he is fast(ish), he can play with the youngsters, and we got him cheap

- PK skill is not something that you have or you don't. Anyone can do it with proper coaching. Crosby could be a top PK guy. So that point is null.
- He is not fast. He's clearly one of the slowest members of the roster.
-He can play with youngsters because that's the only thing he's allowed to do. He didn't do much next to Malkin, which is saying something...
-And 2 million for a "PKer" that only had 14 points last season....no thanks I'd rather trade him and get two prospects or two bottom six guys who are fast and can contribute.
